“Matthew Abrahams has over 15 years of professional experience in the food and beverage industry, but growing up in Texas meant hospitality was always in his blood. Relocating from Dallas to Calgary as a teenager, Matthew cut his teeth as a server at the Outback Steakhouse but discovered his true passion lay behind the bar after slinging drinks at a staff party, an experience that forged in him a core principle: if everyone who walks up to your bar is a friend, you’ll always love your work.
Landing in Vancouver, Matthew rose up the ranks, learning how to craft the ultimate guest experience from the inside out. From expediting on the line to fine dining, from catering 300+ guest events, to managing the bar at one of Vancouver’s iconic waterfront restaurants, Matthew’s done it all. His expertly honed skills, and unique flair allow him to utilize innovative techniques and make bold creative choices while respecting the classics. But what Matthew is truly known for is his passion for service and his ability to make every person who comes past his bar feel like a regular. Whether they come for a whiskey or a water, they’ll always walk away happier than they arrived and never empty handed.
Matthew couldn’t think of a better way to share his passion than by helping clients build a custom bar service package that elevates any event, streamlines planning and is tailored to individual needs. In the meantime you’ll catch him deciding between a classic Manhattan or a Spiced Whiskey Sour at his favourite locals, or mixing one up at home to enjoy with his partner Jenn, and cats Steve, Max and Ned.”
